Awesome

5th June 2022

The day saw us journey from King George Sound to Bald Head.

The energetic waters seemed to excite the whales today. We were indulged by a pod of approx. 10 Humpback whales and their athletic displays. The water was chopped by lots of pectoral slapping and breaches. While they were so active, they also seemed relaxed and comfortable in our company as they didn’t want to leave us. They just wanted to keep showing us more. To the absolute delight of all, there were 2 juveniles, in particular, that wanted to stay and play. While we drifted quietly in their company, they totally spoilt us with lots of close pop-ups and flybys.

Unfortunately, we had to part ways and head for home. Day done and we couldn’t be happier.
