Hide and Seek

14th June 2022

After being landed by weather warnings for the previous 2 days, today we were bathed in sunshine.

The day took us out past Bald Head to ‘the line’, where we encountered a few travelling pods of Humpbacks, keen to keep on the move. They teased us with their steamy blows and revealed their enormity as their backs rolled over the surface of the water. Some let their tails linger for us to admire.

We were late coming in as we paused many times to watch the whales move on their merry way. We estimated that we saw at least 20 whales over the course of the tour.

A beautiful day to spend in the company of such splendid creatures.
