Special

1st June 2022

What a fabulous day to kick off the 2022 season. Conditions were calm but there was excitement in the air.

To start our first whale tour for the year, we headed for the Humpback Hwy or ‘the line’ as it is also known.

Cruising out to Bald Head where we were treated to a pod of 6 Humpbacks showing us lots of their cloud like blows and enormous backs as they porpoised through the water. Some were particularly showing off with playful slaps of their magnificent tails.

Absolutely delighted with sharing time with 6 whales, we headed for home past Whale World. It turned out our day was not done.

We encountered 2 very playful Humpbacks putting on an aerial show, and we had front row seats. They were breaching and tail slapping to the delight of all.

A very special day indeed.
